How to Prepare for Your Appointment

It's Time to Glow

Welcome to Skin & Body Klinic! We’re excited to be part of your journey to healthier skin and body wellness. To ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve put together a simple guide to help you prepare for your appointment.

Before Your Appointment

  • 1. Complete Your New Client Forms

To save time and streamline your check-in process, we encourage you to complete your new client intake forms before your visit. These forms help us understand your concerns, medical history, and treatment goals. A link to your forms will be sent via email or text after booking.

✅ Check your email for a link to complete the form.
✅ If you didn’t receive it, contact us at [email protected].

  • 2. Hydrate & Nourish

Proper hydration plays a key role in many of our treatments, especially facials, IV therapy, and body contouring. Drink plenty of water before your appointment. If you're coming in for an injectable service or IV hydration, having a light meal beforehand is recommended.

  • 3. Avoid Caffeine & Alcohol

If you’re receiving a facial, Microneedling, or injectable treatments (such as Botox or fillers), avoiding alcohol and excessive caffeine 24 hours before your appointment can reduce swelling and bruising.

  • 4. Arrive 10 Minutes Early

Arriving a few minutes early allows time for check-in, parking, restroom breaks, and any last-minute questions before your provider begins your service.
Early arrival helps ensure you receive your full treatment time without delays.

  • 5. Bring a Valid ID for Medical Services

For injectables, weight loss care, and IV hydration, we are required to verify your identity and date of birth.
Please bring a government-issued ID to your appointment.

  • 6. Avoid Makeup, Oils, and Heavy Skincare (For Skin Treatments)

If you're coming for a facial, chemical peel, microneedling, or skin consultation:

    • Arrive with clean skin

    • Skip foundation, sunscreen, and heavy moisturizers that morning
This allows your provider to assess your skin accurately and begin treatment right away.

  • 7. Skip Retinols, Acids, and Exfoliants (24–72 Hours)

To prevent sensitivity during your service:

    • Stop retinol/retinoids for 3 days

    • Avoid AHA/BHA acids, scrubs, benzoyl peroxide, or harsh exfoliants for 24–48 hours
This is especially important for microneedling, chemical peels, facials, and skin revisions.

  • 8. Dress Comfortably

Wear clothing that makes it easy to access treatment areas:

    • Loose, low-collar tops for injectables and facials

    • Comfortable clothing for body contouring or massage-style therapies

    • Sleeveless or easy-to-roll sleeves for IV therapy

This avoids delays undressing or repositioning during treatment.

  • 9. Avoid NSAIDs & Blood Thinners (If Medically Allowed)

    For injectables and microneedling, avoid:

    • Ibuprofen

    • Aspirin

    • Fish oil

    • Vitamin E

    • Certain herbal supplements
      These can increase bruising.
(If prescribed by a physician, do not stop without approval.)

  • 10. Secure Childcare

For safety and focus, children may not accompany clients into treatment rooms. Please arrange childcare before your visit to ensure a relaxing, uninterrupted appointment.

  • 11. Notify Us of Recent Changes

To keep you safe, inform us before treatment if:

    • You are pregnant or breastfeeding

    • You recently had surgery or dental work

    • You started new medications

    • You’ve received another aesthetic procedure in the last 2–4 weeks

This helps us adjust or reschedule services appropriately.

12. Payment Method & Cancellation Policy

To keep check-in smooth:

  • Bring the card you used to hold the appointment (if required)

  • Be aware of our cancellation/no-show policy

  • Apple Pay, credit/debit, and HSA/FSA are accepted (if applicable)
